No, You’re the Beach

Beach!

Shot with:
Nikon D300 w/ Nikkor 17-55mm lens at f/2.8 (I’m still learning) on a tripod.

Soundtrack: Brand New - No Seat Belt Song

I shot the pilot, I’m begging you to fly this for me.
I’m here for you to use, broken and bruised.
Do you understand?
It’s only you, beautiful.
Or I don’t want anyone.
If I can choose, it’s only you.
But how could I miscalculate… perfect eyes will have perfect aim.

Nobody loves a beach more than me. I’ll even resort to taking half a beach (Okinawa) if looks the part. The above was shot in Stanley Park on the C-Whale (heh-heh) facing the city. Though I wasn’t exactly sitting on the sand when I took this, the picture is dark enough that one can imagine the sand to be sand-like rather than.. I’ll stop that thought here. While I’m making shit up for this photo, you might as well pretend that it’s a warm night in July where the breeze coming across the water cools the sweat on your face. Here, you can sit and mull over whatever ails you or be less pessimistic and remind yourself of the good things in your life that make the *day to day shit worth going through.

I hope to get a **good beach shot in the daytime sometime in the coming future. Sadly, society isn’t ready to see a flabby, shirtless, half-breed nammer taking pictures of himself on Spanish Banks.

* Still in a dark place.
** Beach models wanted. On site cash payment (read: monopoly money). “Model” is entirely subjective. Shyness not allowed.
