No, I’m not reviewing my Chemistry 11 notes, but staying positive is something that is hard to do when it feels like the world is crashing down on you (or you). Much like my car, we all need fixing in some way or another, and as content as I am being who I am, I wouldn’t feel at ease if I had nothing I wanted to improve about myself. I like to think it’s the drive that keeps us going and to get better. So just to weigh in on what’s goin on with you twos: as much as it sucks, find the pussitive in your situation and run with it.

No Pants? No problem.

In response to my loathsome post last night, I will take the advice and put it to use. My “new” hobby will be to try to update my blog with things I’m learning while living abroad.

This last week, I learned my body is failing on me. Not 7 days ago, my knee swelled up to the point where I was unable to bend it enough to get into my car to drive the measly 5 minutes to work. Instead, I used my imagination and pretended i was in a 3 legged race to get back to my couch so I could rest my thrashed leg. 3 hours and an equal amount of x-rays later, I’m told I have what looks to be a bone shard sticking out of my tibia. Wonderbar.

*sigh*

“You Ess Ay! You Ess Aye!”

Somehow I’m not chanting the american competitive sports war cry. Okay, maybe not all competitive sports, but this is what watching the Mighty Ducks movie series leads me to believe. I’ve been here about three weeks now and I’m finding that I miss my old home. It’s not that bad here I suppose, but I’ve never been one to completely devote myself into my work so I’m having a hard time adjusting to life.. mainly because I don’t have much of one here yet.

Work is fun and all but there’s a reason why HR representatives drone on and on about having a work-life balance. Maybe it’s all just marketing and they want to sell the company onto us employees but i’ve always been able to find a medium. The problem this time, is that there isn’t anything to “balance” over here, not yet. So it’s just work. Drag.
