20090527_02

So here are a few pics from the weekend. There was a few from a gravel pit thing under the bridge but at ISO3200 they look like butt to me after off loading them on the comp. These ones didn’t look too bad considering my idiot camera settings.

New Year Night Shots

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

New pics and some broken resolutions already lol. I suppose sleeping at 12am on a work day for me is like quitting something cold turkey. Old habits are hard to break, especially those of the nocturnal variety. Anyhow, this is a picture post, so here we go:

I Umm Fallring in Lab with You

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Just some possible mood music: Anson Hu – I Umm Fallring in Lab with You, oh Purrdy Gurrrrh

The snow is falling outside and there’s over a foot’s worth of snow on the ground that has rendered me immobile from going anywhere outside of walking distance from my apartment. Being the ghetto bachelor that I am, I have no food to eat and was barely home long enough this weekend for my mom give me food to stock up for the upcoming week. So, after the horrendous hour I spent outside this morning trying to get my car to go 5 meters from my parking spot to the middle of the parking lot and back, I bundled up and set out on foot in hopes to find food.

Andy, a much more prepared player of life, had food but decided to join me on my hunt for red october hot food. On my way, I took my canon point and shoot with me to see what mother nature would offer, or document my demise.. whichever.

This is the corner of No.3 and Jones. Snow is like make up, it turns uggos into hottehz.

One Thousand Words

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

You know the saying. Alicia Keys coulda wrote a song about a picture’s worth, not her stupid worth. Let’s get started on the things that got going this last month and a half.

1. Went to Cabos San Lucas.

Cabo San Lucas part juan and a half

mexico01

Hola from Cabo! I’ve been doing my best to learn spanish while i’m here.. having a semester in it does help me understand i must say, but the majority of the people here speak english very well so it’s not a necessity. Bad part is that it just means that everyone here is expecting us tourists, so everything is just as baller.

On a tangent: did you notice “hello” sounds really similar in a lot of languages? Para examplo (i have no clue if thats even how you say example in spanish): “Hola” means hello, but swap the ”a” and “o” and its “Halo” and pronounce it chinesey, you get “ha-low”, which sounds like “hello” which is awkwardly similar to “nay-ho” for fobbers out there.

Manning Your Own Jackhammer

swoon.. NOW!
Andy captured this lusty moment.

Wow that was not meant to be a euphemism, but now that I read it over, I don’t mind it. It’s a lot less obvious then mass debating. So while I was in training last week, I was debating.. mass debating in the chair in front of the rest of my coworkers about whether I should get up and relieve myself in the washroom. I didn’t and waited nearly 40 minutes to pee. I mass debated much too long.

Anyway, this post is about camping which happened about a month ago and as long ago as that is now, it’s actually even longer because this post comes like a week or two after my original sample post. Seriously this month has flown by so fast. I remember camping as if it was only a couple weeks ago, and now it’s August. What the hell?

Violated 2008
Ravaged.

I’ve been choosing for the last hour or so from pictures from my camera. It’s almost done, I’d normally try to finish before I sleep but I’m in the midst of turning over a new leaf. So sleep now, update more later. For now enjoy a preview of what happens when we violate mother nature for 3 days and 2 nights of angry passion.

Stanley’s Here

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Paddy do!

So finally, after I don’t even know how many weeks of saying I’ll post pictures of the day at Stanley Park, here it is. I’m also way tired to write anything about it right now, so this will have to be mostly a picture post.

Driven To Perform

Sparkle Me Good
No need for post production madness here.

Driven To Perform was about 3 weeks ago now. The lighting there, aside from where this beamer was, was pretty bad. So, to flex my Photoshop muscle, I styled the next few pictures in a few ways because.. I could.

I’ll update more about the day at DTP later.. I’m under-enthused right now.

The Lion, Sandwhich, and the Whoredrobe.

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

These types of weekends have sort of become my life, and I’m totally digging it.

Going to Narnia

It’s not exactly a wardrobe, but “that’ll do pig, that’ll do.”

May Long was only a few weeks ago, and as “eventful” as that weekend was, I still managed to have myself a good ol’ time with the help of some good peeps. One thing I’ve never done in the past decade and a half I’ve been here on the west coast is drive outside the city. I like to drive, so sometimes I’ll just hop in the car, put on some music and go on my little route that’ll start around dusk in Surrey, and end with me driving through downtown Vancouver at night. I like the bright lights against the dark backdrop. (read: shiny things make me happy and if that makes me a crow, then so be it. I’m a crow.)
